VIN lookup FREE

Before buying it is wise to look up the Vehicle’s Identification Number (VIN) to get more info on it.

It’s free to put your VIN in the box.

So what do the letters and numbers mean on the VIN?

Example:

When buying a used car it is recommended that you get a VIN report on it.

“SOLD AS IS” means just that and does NOT by law require the seller to be honest about the vehicle and its history.

You’ll get a report on things such as;

Flood damage, selling history, stolen, recalls for electrical systems, rear ends, engine or transmission problems and many other issues.

After getting a Vehicle Report it is recommended that you get a mechanic you trust to inspect the vehicle. Not a “shade tree” mechanic either! A diagnostic check on the vehicle would do you well.

The old saying is true, “you get what you pay for”! The same is true for a VIN report. Free sounds good but it may not give you all the information about that vehicle.

Do your homework and you will have a better chance of NOT buying a lemon.

On the other hand finding parts for a vehicle is important and the VIN is one of the best ways to identify a parts match unless the last owner of the vehicle changed it in which case the VIN can also be used to check if that was changed.

I remember signing up for a particular car insurance company and asked them if they provided roadside assistance. They said for a little extra added cost to my insurance they could do that,

So in the course of time one afternoon I was stranded on the side of the freeway. I called the number they gave me for my roadside assistance and the operator told me that someone would be available within 15-20 minutes and guess what, it was night time now.

To make a long story short, I got the same message (roadside assistance will be available within 15-20 minutes) and no one came. I had to call a friend to help me.

Shop around to get the price on insurance you can afford and what they really offer, not lies for extra money out of your pocket.
